Absolutely! Over 70% of our dancers walk into their first Sunday class with zero prior dance experience. Every step and mudra is broken down slowly from scratch in a warm, zero-judgment atmosphere.

Do I need a partner or can I come alone?

Accepted Answer

Coming alone is totally normal! Most dancers come by themselves. Indian dance is a communal celebration—you will immediately feel part of the group the moment we start warming up.

Who attends the Sunday classes?

Sunday Classes at Studio Lux are tailored for adults and young adults (all fitness levels). For children and teenagers aged 6–15, we offer specialized Private Lessons.

Question 4

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable moving and sweating in: leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, or athletic wear. No special Indian attire is required.

Do I need special dance shoes?

No dance shoes required. Clean indoor sneakers, grip socks, or dancing barefoot are all completely welcome.

In which language are classes taught?

All classes are taught in English, with visual demonstrations and cues that make every instruction easy to follow.

How difficult is the choreography?

Choreographies are beginner-accessible yet dynamic. Aiswarya offers modifications for every step—keeping it simple if you are new, or adding stylistic flourishes if you want an extra challenge.

Can I join after the month or course has already started?

Yes. Every Sunday session is self-contained. While we build on pieces across weeks, new routines and foundational recaps happen every single week, so you can jump in anytime.

Can I try just one class first without committing?

Yes! That is why we offer the €15 Trial Class with zero commitment. Come try one Sunday, meet Aiswarya and the group, and decide if you'd like to continue.

Question 10

What happens if I miss a Sunday due to travel or work?

Accepted Answer

Life happens! All 2-class and 4-class passes include our 2-Month Flexibility Promise. If you need to travel or miss a Sunday, your remaining classes roll over for 2 full months. You can cancel before 48h and reschedule for another Sunday within that 2-month window. Medical emergencies are also accommodated with a simple email or a message before the class.

Can I use my class pass for Sunday workshops?

Yes! Active 2-class and 4-class passes can also be redeemed towards our Sunday choreography workshops. When registering for a workshop, you can simply use one of your remaining class credits.

Can I attend via Urban Sports Club or Wellhub?

Absolutely! Thaalam is an official partner of both Urban Sports Club and Wellhub (Gympass). You can reserve your spot in our Sunday classes directly via your Urban Sports Club app or check in with Wellhub.

Where is Studio Lux and how do I get there?

Studio Lux is located at Kaiserstraße 1C, 53113 Bonn—just a short 5-minute walk from Bonn Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Tram, bus, and S-Bahn connections are right outside.
